HOW TECHNOLOGY HELPS FOR MORE EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

How technology helps for more effective communication

Technology definitely influences many aspects of our everyday life, especially in terms of communication. Progress in concepts such as computer, mobile and global technologies has facilitated the transfer and receipt of information at local and international level. By providing convenience, flexibility and rapid information exchange, technology improves all phases of communication.

Mobile phones
Advances in cellular technology have improved and redefined how contact was made. Now we can get in touch with relatives and friends by touching only one button all over the world. This was not the case years before cellular technology emerged. Now, due to the many strategically placed cell towers, we can call to share our thought or ask a quick question while we're in the car or going to work.

Computers
The development of different types of computers has the greatest impact on communication. Computerized systems operate ATMs, supermarket box scanners, and even global cartographic systems for vehicles. PCs offer access to email, instant text messaging, word processing and information websites, all of which make it easy to create and share information. In addition, web-based telephony companies, such as Skype, allow us to see and talk to others through the computer screen at any time from anywhere in the world.

Companies
Businesses rely on day-to-day communication technologies, and without them they would probably have difficulty connecting with employees and customers. Thanks to new technologies, business meetings can be delivered via live webinars through dedicated software that allows employees to get up-to-date information from the comfort of their homes. Preparing business correspondence or creating promotional brochures for customers is easier because of word processing programs like Microsoft Word. From telephone systems, conference options and electronic projectors that show graphs and charts, companies rely on technology for effective communication.

International Relations
Technology has improved international communication in many ways. We can watch television programs from other countries like Asia and Europe and get real-time live news from satellites. The Internet allows us to publish photos and content to share with relatives and friends anywhere in the world through sites like Myspace and Facebook. Even traveling internationally is easier because of specialized sites that allow you to buy airline tickets and hotel reservations for your holiday.
